Mountainboarding – Snowboarders Keep Training In The Off Season

Snowboarding is lots of fun. You get to carve down slopes, shred the snow, and ride the lifts back up again and again. Many snowboarders love winter and look forward to it in the off season.

As winter turns into spring, snowboarders head off of the slopes and put their snowboards away until the months roll away and winter is back again. Everything they worked on that winter will be put on hold, and their skills will become rusty as they wait for winter to come back.

To help your skills stay fresh, and not turn moldy during the off season now you can continue to hone your skills after the snow has long been gone. This off season sport for snowboarders is called mountainboarding, and it is an excellent training tool to use when winter has gone.

The sport of mountainboarding is much like skateboarding but instead of only being used on paved surfaces; it can be used on grass, gravel, dirt, and pavement. Small rocks and sticks are no problem for the large, inflatable wheels.

A mountainboard most often will have foot straps. The foot straps on it are usually one of two kinds. Either it will be the kind where you can just step into and out of easily, or it will be the kind like a snowboard, where you have to ratchet and lock your feet in.

It is a great off season sport because you can continue to ride the slopes without any snow. The fun doesn’t have to stop when the snow leaves, with one of these you can continue to enjoy carving and riding down slopes in the off season.

Instead of learning new tricks and then putting them on hold until the snow comes back, why don’t you continue to perfect them on a mountainboard? That way when winter rolls around again you can hop on your snowboard and even be better than you were last winter.

Having a mountainboard can bring new light to the off season and allow you to keep on honing your skills and your tricks. You don’t have to get rusty in the off season. With one of these you can learn new tricks and have fun during the spring, summer and fall months.

For any snowboarder that is looking for a way that they can keep on having fun in the off season with a board sport that will help them continue to improve, I recommend you try mountainboarding.
