Percy Jackson And The Olympians Now On DVD

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is finally on DVD. This movie really has a Harry Potter vibe to it, but that is probably related to the fact that director was also the director in the first Harry Potter movie. This movie was based off the book series by Rick Riordan, which could mean there may be future movies. This movie had a doable plot, enjoyable characters, and an adventure through history with a modern element. Don’t miss out on your copy today.

The plot is about the main character Percy who is a demigod and his best friend and his protector who happens to be a satyr. They journey with Athena’s daughter and they are looking for pearls that can teleport them anywhere since Percy’s mother was taken to Hades. So now you can watch this tape and find out if they get a chance to rescue his mother or not, and who Percy’s father really is.

The characters in the movie are ones that can be liked by adults and children. Percy appears to be the average guy, Athena’s daughter is a know-it-all with attitude, and the satyr is the type of fun loving, loyal friend that anyone could want. The three simply bond really well and you truly want them to succeed. And because of all the mythological creatures, children actually get a ancient Greek mythological lesson.

There are some nice action scenes in the movie, but it still teaches you a lot of history. They mention certain mythological beings such as Hades and Medusa. Part of learning about the myths is finding about the Underworld, the location of the kidnapped mother. But instead of going back into history, they find the entrance here in the United States.

If you want a children friendly movie then this is one that you have to get. It’s undoubtedly a 4 out of 5 stars. A nice adventure with some mythology thrown in.
